An inactive contact is one that cannot be surveyed.
Contacts can be marked ‘inactive’ to end all current and future surveys to be sent to that contact (but have not unsubscribed). Promoter provides this ability by visiting the contact's profile. You can click on the button within the 'Status' section to toggle the contact's status from Active to Inactive.
This action will:
- Cancel pending surveys
- Keep the contact from receiving further surveys
If you decide a contact should now be in an 'Active' state and be eligible for surveys again, toggle the status back to Active.
Why can't I change the status back to 'Active'?
When a contact has unsubscribed, they will be put in a permanent 'inactive' state and cannot be changed back to 'Active'.
Their profile can be accessed three different ways:
- Visiting the Contacts section and clicking on 'view profile' next to their email.
- Click on the contact’s email in a list.
- Navigating to a contact’s feedback in the Feedback View of a campaign and click Contact Profile on the right.
